Who are you looking for?
We are looking for design students from any discipline seeking undergraduate or graduate degrees. We are especially interested in candidates with expertise in interaction design (UX), visual design (UI), product design, user research, front-end development, and industrial design. We will also consider candidates who are not seeking or do not have formal degrees, but can demonstrate superior design experience. Students must be eligible to work in the U.S.
What do I need to prepare and share to apply?
Applicants must fill out the online application and most importantly share examples of their design work through an online portfolio.
What does the selection process look like?
We will select applicants on a rolling basis from January 15, 2016 to March 15, 2016. It is to your advantage to apply early.
Do I get to choose which company I work at for the summer?
No, but we will work with you and the participating companies to ensure a great fit and an amazing experience.
How will my time be spent during the program?
You will work full-time at your host company for the 10-week period. A designated mentor within that company will work directly with you throughout your internship. You will also join program directors and participants on a weekly basis for meetings, activities, or events.
Do you pay a salary during the program?
You will be receive a competitive salary from your host company, which will be negotiated directly with them.
When is the program?
The program is 10 weeks from June to August, 2016. Exact dates will be announced in March.
Where is the program?
The program is based in NY.
Do you help me relocate and find housing?
We can provide guidance on where you might be able to find housing, but will housing will not be provided as part of the program.
